Product Review: Monat

We are getting REAL today!  Fresh faced and clean (soaking wet) hair!  Darla Kmety, a court reporter out of San Diego, reached out to me to review some Monat products.  I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to have done this for her!

Darla sent me the REJUVENIQE Oil Intensive™, the Renew Shampoo, Revitalize Conditioner, and the Replenish Masque.

The first thing I do, as do most other people, when I am looking for information on a product is google “__________ pros and cons” or if it is a multi-level marketing products, I search “Why I quit selling __________.”  I couldn’t find anything negative about Monat so of course, I was coming in this challenge TRYING to find the bad.  I will tell you now that this is a COMPLETELY UNBIASED review of Monat products.  I do not sell Monat, nor do I want to for no other reason that I am too busy with life.

According to monat.com:

Confession:  I use Aussie products 90% of the time.  It is a good value and readily available at the store two blocks away.  Yes, I know that there are all sorts of chemicals in it, but being on a budget, this stuff will do the job.

Second confession:  I am sure that I would see more results if I used the products for a month or two.  That being said, I still did see some results.

Renew Shampoo:  Helps increase hair brilliance, strength and vitality.  Infused with Rejuveniqe.  ($35 for 8 fluid ounces)

This shampoo not only smells great but has an instruction that I’ve never seen before.  This product instructs you to use the shampoo a second time.  It is a very concentrated formula, so you put a little bit (~nickle size) and wash your hair.  You’ll leave the shampoo in for 2-3 minutes.  Rinse AND REPEAT.  The first time you wash your hair you won’t get any suds.   When you repeat the wash, YOU WILL GET SUDS.  It is the craziest thing.  Your hair gets cleansed the first time, which is why you don’t get suds.   The second time is when you get the rest of the benefits of the shampoo.  I couldn’t believe it when I first used it!  It didn’t sud and then it did!

Revitalize Conditioner:  Helps increase hair density, strength and manageability.  Infused with Rejuveniqe.  ($47 for 6 fluid ounces.)
This conditioner was a nice and light product.  As I said earlier, I am sure I would’ve noticed more of a difference if I had used the product longer.  I didn’t notice too much of a difference with this product with what I was given.

Replenish Masque:  Helps increase hair brilliance, strength, and vitality.  Infused with Rejuveniqe.  ($50 for 5 fluid ounces.)

This masque was really nice.  Most masques that I use are heavy and leave my hair weighed down and greasy.  This masque kept my hair hydrated without the negative effects.  The sample foil says to leave it in for 5-10 minutes.  I was on the phone with my BFF during my bath and it stayed in for about 30 minutes.  My hair felt like I just left the salon when I was done!

Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive  ($99 for 1 fluid ounce)

I was most impressed with this product.  I never use oils in my hair.  I know you’re looking at the price and how much product is included.  Please know that you only need 1-3 drops each time you use it.  If you watch the video I made, you will see that this oil smoothed my baby curls!  Those puppies are hard to handle some days!  If I weren’t on such a strict budget, I would definitely buy this product.  I have some more left over from the sample foil and am so excited to use it as a body oil!  YES!  You can use it as a body oil!  You can even use it as a cuticle oil!  In fact, after I applied it on my hair, I didn’t wash my hands.  That was a really nice benefit that I wasn’t expecting!  Silky smooth hands that smell great?  Yes, please!

Overview
Yes, these products are a little more expensive than what I usually get.  But the quality is MUCH better and they are so concentrated that it is probably closer to the price of my regular hair products.  If someone gave me these products, I would use them without a doubt!  Definitely give this brand a try!

(The prices I am including in this post are the regular price.  There is a VIP price which will knock a few dollars off of your order.  Talk to Darla if you want more information on becoming a VIP!)

Please find Darla on Facebook or her Monat page.
